Why Choose Sunlight Senior Care?
A disability, illness, injury, or just getting older can make it hard to feel happy and safe in your home. If you are another’s primary caregiver, it can be exhausting. Even harder is to be many miles away, helpless, always worrying about your loved one.
Having a Sunlight Senior Care caregiver is a wise choice. In-home care brings peace of mind. Everything’s getting taken care of and everyone’s OK. You get your life back!
Our MISSION is to help our clients age for as long as possible, as safe as possible in their own homes.
How Do We Help
The founders of Sunlight Senior Care envisioned a better client experience for in-home care:
Through our personalized care approach, we develop a relationship with each of our clients. Something deep, even life-giving, happens. There’s more engagement, with increased interest in physical and mental activities. Spirits lift. Joy returns!

Frequently Asked Questions
Our caregiver rates are determined at the time of the in-home assessment. Specialized care needs can affect the rate; and weekend or holiday shifts generally cost a little more than weekdays. There can be an additional charge when caregivers provide transportation using their own vehicle, too.
Sunlight Senior Care’s rates are very competitive. We’ll also discuss financial assistance which may be available to you or your loved one.
Yes! The personal care plans and services provided can evolve as your situation or needs change.
According to the AARP’s Home and Community Preferences Study, 77% of adults 50 and over want to remain in their homes for as long as possible. That’s not surprising – our physical and mental health is in part tied to the familiarity of our surroundings. Our neighbors are our friends and part of the fabric of our lives. Simply, home is where we belong. Still, as we get older, health and mobility problems can arise and tend to be episodic, chronic and progressive. That’s when in-home caregivers can be part of the answer. Assistance with everyday chores, meal preparation, cleaning, personal hygiene, even errands and trips to doctor appointments, can make it possible to remain safe and independent in your home.
Aging in place is the ability to stay in one’s home even when age-related or health-related changes may make it difficult to do so. Aging in place may involve making modifications to the home for added safety as well as having assistance from family or other caregivers with daily tasks.
Having in-home care is a wise choice and easy to arrange.
Choosing in-home care is a thoughtful decision that brings comfort, independence, and peace of mind to both individuals and their families. It allows your loved one to remain in the familiar surroundings of their home while receiving the personalized care they need. We often hear from clients who regret having “put off” looking into additional in-home care. Things didn’t get better. It was always on their mind. Sunlight’s proven 3-step process will help you make an informed decision.
1
It all starts with a free in-home Care Assessment. Meeting clients in their homes allows our Home Health Coordinators to better understand a client’s environment and needs, and then recommend services to be provided. Costs are discussed, as are payment options and financial assistance that might be available. This is also the perfect time to answer any questions our clients, their families, or representatives have.
2
From this assessment, a Personal Care Plan is developed. The types of care to be provided are agreed upon, the best times and days of the week for caregiving are identified, as is a desired starting date. We ensure that every detail — from daily routines to specialized medical care requirements — is thoughtfully planned and adaptable as needs evolve.
3
Care begins. With everything in place, compassionate care begins at your convenience. Our highly trained caregivers are matched to your loved one’s unique needs, ensuring not only professional support but also genuine companionship.
Every month our Nurse will “Check-in” with the client, the family, and the caregiver to make sure Plan of Care is still appropriate and adjust if needed.
